The NoiseGate iOS app received a Gold Award for the Best Mobile App Design and is listed as a Winner of 2019 Summer Awards on bestmobileappawards.com. Among the competition were apps from serious players in the industry, such as AXA Banque, BuddyPhi, AgreeYa and Airbus IFLY380, all of which are heavily funded projects or enterprises compared to the NoiseGate project. In September 2019 I attended the 14th European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ECIE 2019) in Kalamata, Greece, to present another part of my research on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Hamburg, Germany, and the regional public policy agenda towards innovation and Entrepreneurship. In May 2019, Leica released another special edition LEICA M Monochrom (Typ 246) camera designed in collaboration with Lenny Kravitz through his design firm Kravitz Design. Recently, my thesis from 2016 on Hamburg’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and the regional public policy agenda to foster entrepreneurship was published as an ebook. The CSTI – Creative Space for Technical Innovations is an interdisciplinary platform for research and knowledge transfer in areas such as human-computer-interaction (HCI) or smart systems at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
