Thoughts from my daily life
Journal
I post notes about imaginaries, music, photography, technology, my travels & everything else that comes to my mind. Posts are not necessarily connected to my work.
A great example of convincing visual storytelling and data journalism. This is an impressive data driven story about airbnb accommodations in Berlin and its correlations with the local real estate market, rents and affordable housing.
It is a student project at FH Potsdam within the course “From Reading to Exploring” at the design faculty. The students composed a great article with lots of interactions, high information density and context around facts like local hotspots, average rents, networks and correlations with the hotel industry etc.

As you know, a Music Man Luke III is what I wanted. Well, since there is absolutely no reason what so ever to justify an investment like that (since I clearly lack any kind of skill), I got a used Music Man Luke remake by OLP, made in China instead of the US but still officially licensed by Ernie Ball as far as the headstock design goes. If you are interested, there is a product review in comparison to the original […]
ricfreak: New kid on the block…………….Steve Lukather Music Man Luke III Music Man Luke III, totally the one and only guitar I’d want if I had any skill that could justify the investment. Also I would love the AMPLIFi TT by line6, a totally kick ass tabletop multi effect with a remote app for iOS or Android. for just 188 €.

A few days ago, I received a review copy of Guy Kawasaki ’s latest book, an updated and mostly rewritten version 2.0 of The Art of the Start, his bestselling book from 10 years ago. As most of you know, Guy was an advisor to the Motorola business unit of Google and chief evangelist of Apple and still keeps busy as an executive fellow at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley and a Venture Capitalist. The 64% longer […]

There will be just 125 sets available, containing a custom Leica M-P (240), a Summicron-M 35mm f/2 and a Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 lens (and a briefcase), all finished by hand of course and priced at $24,500. This is quite ridiculously priced with a $ 13,500 premium compared to regular retail price of the standard model. Anyway, it is unique for sure.
While working at the international agency network Scholz & Friends, I implemented Google Apps as a SaaS business solution within the entire network across various locations all over Europe for 1200 users in 2010. In addition to some press around that project by Scholz & Friends, I was talking to quite some people about Google Apps at the time. One interview lead to a chapter in a book about ICT-Innovations: “ICT-Innovationen erfolgreich nutzen: Wie Sie Wettbewerbsvorteile für Ihr Unternehmen sichern” by Jens Böcker […]
