Flagship V-Drums with advanced sensing technology and SuperNATURAL sounds. With a rather steep price point of around 7.000 € it is nothing for a quick buy though.
In any case, I think this is as close as it gets to a natural feel on electronic drums. Having tried the flagship models of the competition, it is safe to that Yamaha or Alesis are no match for Roland. The feel of the mesh heads is years ahead of anything else I have tried. Yet, I would appreciate a more drum set like appearance, even though the latest version of Roland’s flagship model is getting closer to what I am hoping for.
To get a feel of what it looks, sounds and fells like, check out this demo video with Dirk Brand, who is taking the TD-30KV set on a cruise to various sets and genres to show off its sounds. I would say, for anyone living in an apartment or anywhere else where soundlehvels maybe an issue, this as close as one could get to a perfect solution.
